NECK MOSS

Hals Mose was once a lush raised bog, but drainage and cultivation have destroyed large parts of the old bog. Now the disappeared Hals Mose must be revived, so that there can be good Danish wild nature again, and the trumpeting crane and the critically endangered golden eagle can once again spread their wings in a new wild habitat.

Forestry is stopped, agricultural operations, fertilizing and spraying cease. Drainage is stopped and the drainage channels are closed so that water can return to the bog.

SWAMP BIRCH FORESTS BECOME PRIVATE FOREST

In Hals Mose there is also one of the country's last large swamp birch forests, it will now become an untouched forest, which is allowed to grow wild and naturally for the benefit of many species of animals and fungi.

In other words, it becomes more forest, more bog and thus more habitats for fantastic animals such as e.g. the crane and the woodpecker.
