“I am incredibly proud that we at ELSK have achieved an overall B Impact score of 99.6 – and that is on our very first participation in the B Corp certification. It is well above average; ordinary businesses completing the assessment currently average around 50.9. For comparison, a score of only 80 is required to qualify as a B Corp, so this result is absolutely fantastic for us.
Of course, I am proud of the score, but to me, it is not a milestone where we say, ‘now we are done.’ I see it as the beginning of a journey where we can constantly improve, year after year. I want to continue working holistically with responsibility and integrity – in everything from production to how we take care of our colleagues, customers, the environment… and everything in between.”

For each area, we have received a score that together makes up our overall B Impact score – demonstrating how we work holistically with responsibility throughout the entire company, not just in the production of clothing, but in every decision that impacts colleagues, factory workers, the planet, the environment, and everything in between.
Governance // 17.3 score
Governance evaluates a company's overall mission, engagement around its social and environmental impact, ethics, and transparency. This section also assesses the company's ability to protect its mission and formally consider stakeholders in decision-making through its corporate structure (e.g., as a benefit corporation) or through the company's bylaws and governing documents.
Workers // 23.0 score
Workers evaluates a company’s contributions to its employees’ financial security, health and safety, well-being, career development, and engagement and satisfaction. Additionally, this section recognizes business models designed to benefit employees, such as companies where at least 40% is owned by non-managerial workers, and companies that provide workforce development programs for individuals facing barriers to employment.
Environment // 35.6 score
Environment evaluates a company’s overall environmental management practices as well as its impact on air, climate, water, land, and biodiversity. This includes both the direct impact of the company’s own operations and, where applicable, its supply chain and distribution channels. The section also recognizes companies with environmentally innovative production processes, as well as those selling products or services that have a positive environmental impact. Examples include products and services that generate renewable energy, reduce consumption or waste, conserve land or wildlife, offer less toxic alternatives to the market, or educate people about environmental issues.
Community // 20.4 score
Community evaluates a company’s engagement with and impact on the communities in which it operates, hires from, and sources from. Topics include diversity, equity, and inclusion; economic impact; civic engagement; charitable giving; and supply chain management. Additionally, this section recognizes business models designed to address specific community-oriented challenges, such as poverty alleviation through fair trade sourcing or distribution via microenterprises, producer cooperatives, locally focused economic development, and formal charitable commitments.
Customers // 3.0 score
Customers evaluates a company's stewardship of its customers through the quality of its products and services, ethical marketing, data privacy and security, and feedback channels. Additionally, this section recognizes products or services that are designed to address a specific social issue for or through customers—such as healthcare or education products, arts and media products, serving underserved customers/clients, and services that improve the social impact of other businesses or organizations.
Overall score // 99.6 score
We are proud that ELSK has achieved an overall B Impact score of 99.6 – a result that is significantly above the average score of 50.9 for ordinary businesses completing the assessment. For comparison, a score of only 80 is required to qualify for B Corp certification, meaning our result places us among the top-performing B Corp companies.
While we are proud of this score, we do not view it as a final destination. Our ambition is to improve year after year, allowing us to continue working holistically with responsibility and integrity – in everything from production and employee well-being to environmental impact and customer relations.
In connection with our B corp recertification, we have developed a climate action plan for ELSK's 2029 climate targets. If you would like to see what we are working towards, simply send an email to support@elsk.com, and we will send it directly to your inbox
What is B-Corp?
B-Corporations, or B-Corps, are companies committed to pursuing both sustainable and social goals, driven by a purpose to make a positive difference in the world.
B Corp companies are subject to a number of strict requirements to maintain their certification, including sustainability, social responsibility and corporate governance requirements.
For us, this means that we not only strive to deliver on the bottom line, but that we work to make a positive difference in the world. B-Corp certification is an indicator that a company pursues higher standards of social responsibility and sustainability.
Here's why you should consider shopping with companies with this certification:
Social responsibility
B-Corp certified companies commit to taking responsibility for their actions, giving consumers confidence that they are dealing with a company that contributes positively to society.
Transparency
B-Corps are committed to being open about their social and environmental performance, empowering consumers to make informed choices.
Sustainability
Companies that are B-Corp certified work actively to reduce their environmental impact and often use sustainable materials and production methods.
Working conditions
B-Corps takes responsibility for working conditions in its supply chain and works to ensure fair and safe conditions for workers.
Long-term commitment
B-Corps are committed to thinking long-term and working for a sustainable business model that will last for many years.

We look forward to continuing our journey towards a more responsible fashion industry. Our B-Corp certification is not just a sticker; it is a commitment to take responsibility and do our part to create a better world. Together with our dedicated customers and partners, we will continue to make fashion more meaningful, sustainable and socially oriented.
So the next time you are considering where to shop, you can choose companies with B-Corp certification with a clear conscience, knowing that your purchase is supporting a company that is trying to minimize their negative footprint on the planet.
The current economic system prioritizes short-term gains over long-term value - me over us - now over the future - inequality over justice - profit over people and the planet.
But it doesn't have to be that way. Led by B Lab and Sistema B, the B Corp movement is positively impacting nearly 500,000 workers in over 6,000 companies in over 150 industries and 89 countries.
ELSK is proud to be a part of this.
