Earth Overshoot Day
This is one of those that is a little hard to write…
But: Should we just stop and think about it a bit?
Today is Earth Overshoot Day… and what the heck is that? Another Black Friday or? Well... it's actually just today that we have used up more of the earth's resources than it can regenerate. We use 1.7 planets a year right now...and from what we've been able to google, we only have 1 planet. So it seems a bit silly at first. But wait... we Danes are so good at the environment, aren't we? Or what? Hmm… actually our own Earth Overshoot Day was already on March 28th… Aww.
Shouldn't we agree that we reduce consumption a little? Holds a bit again. Apparently it's called moderation. Buy and enjoy the things that you really appreciate and will use again and again and again.
Choose the green solution. It's there.
Remember that the best things in life often cost nothing.
Remember that we have a responsibility for those who come after us.
We all have a responsibility and a duty. As a company, we can do a lot. As consumers, you can do even more. Let's get up in a crowd and shout a little louder. Change can come from below. Let's create that change and do our part so that we don't destroy the beautiful blue-green dot we live on.
At ELSK, both as a company and as individuals, we can become even better. We promise that we will work with that. We believe we can all inspire each other to do better.
